A quick little James Patterson twofer

It’s been a while since I did a book review, and Louisa shared these two James Patterson quick reviews with me.

12 Months To Live By James Patterson and Mike Lupica

The main character, Jane Smith, a criminal defence attorney, has a lot going on in her private which impacts her legal duties. Not only does she have to defend Rob Jacobson, a very wealthy man who has been charged with murder, but she also has to deal with some devasting news she received during the trial.
Her side-kick is Jimmy, a likeable character who watches Jane’s back constantly as she and he have to dodge bullets because someone wants them both out of the way.

This is an easy-to-read book with lots of tension and suspense. Very enjoyable, and I look forward to reading another book with Jane Smith.

Private Rome By James Patterson And Adam Hamdy

A book based on lies and deceit. The main character, Jack Morgan, features in other Private books. This time, he is in Rome at the opening of his new local office. Unfortunately, Private Agent Ricci stumbles upon the body of a dead priest. Jack sets out to prove the innocence of Ricci. However, he comes face to face with conspiracy and corruption within the Vatican.

I find the Private books quite boring and didn’t enjoy this one. They all follow the same theme.

Buy me a coffee 🙂
