A while (okay, ages) ago, I had my nails done at Polish Nail Spa, and in my rush to get back to the office I saw this lovely little café, but simply didn’t have time to stop by.
I finally got to visit Park Café in Parkwood a few weeks ago. It is a popular coffee spot owned and run by sisters Vicky Ross and Lexi Reckling, who also own Polish Nail Spa.
The food is freshly prepared, and the menu features some great items for both breakfast and lunch. I can happily testify that there is a range of cakes available, and Park Café also stocks Paul’s Ice cream.
According to their website you are welcome to bring your own wine or champagne, but a R30 corkage fee per bottle will be charged.
Oh, and don’t forget – Park Café is a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Visit them on the lower ground floor at The Parks Shopping Centre (corner of Jan Smuts and Wells Avenue).
Their business hours are:
Mon – Fri: 7:30 – 15:00 for lunch, until 17:00 for cake and coffee
Sat: 8 – 15:00
Sun: 8 – 12:00
