I love music, and while I’m not listening to it as much as I used to, I’m listening to it more than I have in a while, since we always have the radio on at our office. It’s great to hear (some) new music – after the radio got stolen out of my car, I’ve never bothered to replace it. My brother gave me the radio he took out of his bakkie, but I still haven’t gotten around to install it into my car. Or rather, he hasn’t (I won’t pretend to know anything about the wiring involved).
Some songs just have sticking power; they’re catchy, unusual, by great artists. These are the five that often pop into my head, in no order.
1.
I love Pink (and yes, I have a tiny crush on Nate Ruess). It’s a beautifully sticky tune with simple, true words. And both artists are so talented.
2.
This one surprised me; it’s not really the type of music I would listen to, but it is catchy and sweet.
3.
Bruno Mars is a guilty pleasure. These lyrics aren’t deep or particularly romantic, but I’m sure being on the receiving side of such a serenade balances that out. Admit it, you’re going “oh yeah yeah, oh yeah yeah yeah yeah” right now!
4.
Mumford & Sons… What can I say about this? I just kind of unexpectedly crawled in there, and I don’t mind that it did.
5.
The vocals on this song just gives me gooseflesh. And I kind of like their name – The Bleeding Beetroots 🙂
What songs can you not get out of your head?

Other than the P!nk song I am not familiar with the other songs (have heard of most of the artists). Right now, my brain is song less, sorry. Still a cute piece.
