A few weeks ago I finally got my first taste of Happy.me bubble tea in Greenside. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, but mixed my own combination (rooibos tea, strawberry infusion, mango bubbles). I was a little confused when told “Grab it, shake it, sip it” by the lady behind the counter, but I duly followed her instructions. You see, once your drink is prepared, it is sealed with a plastic cover so you can mix all the delicious flavours up, and then pierce the cover with the sharp edge of the fat straw through which you slurp up the lovely bubbles and tea.

I don’t think I could ever get tired of the sensation of popping the bubbles 🙂

Now Happy.me has expanded – not only have they opened a new branch in Eastgate Mall, but their new mixology menu features unique blends of fresh teas, high quality espressos, iced yoghurts, chocolates, and a variety of health drinks.

As the name happy.me suggests, the emphasis is on a healthy sense of well-being of body and soul. The quirky stores and drinks ease you into a bubble of contentment where it’s only natural you’ll find yourself contemplating life, the universe and everything else.
