I received an audiobook copy of The nurse’s secret by Liz Lawler through the Netgalley platform.

When the police arrive in the brightly lit corridors of the final care facility, asking for Nurse Shaw, the staff and patients begin to gossip.

Sarah Shaw’s husband is said to have been murdered, and the couple had only been married for a few months. So obviously, the police are interested in knowing where Sarah was that night. And why the medication had gone missing from the hospital a few days earlier.

Sarah’s secrets become clear as William Shaw’s complicated past unravels. But, as she delivers pills in paper cups with a stiff smile and shaking hands, her patients wonder if she is a murderer or if her own life is in danger.

Sarah has a complicated past of her own, making this an intriguing read. I rated The nurse’s secret 3/5 stars.
