Triple Three Gin comes in three delectable variants. I’ve had the privilege to taste all three, in combination with three of the most popular tonics of the moment.

First, some distiller’s note on the gin.

Triple Three Gin: Just Juniper Berry Gin

Experience the smooth, pure taste of this carefully balanced spirit inspired by the earliest recorded gin recipes, made from 100% juniper berries. Each distilling is carefully crafted to ensure a flavourful gin for the ultimate drinking pleasure.

The ripe juniper berries used for this gin boast a broad array of aromas. Fresh essential oil fragrances like menthol, eucalyptus, pine, cloves and lime are gently emphasised by whiffs of white pepper. Notes of vanilla and the floral scent of rose petals reflect the sweet juiciness juniper naturally carries.

The mixers

I decided to use the extremely popular and bespoke Fitch & Leedes tonics to tease out the flavours of each gin. Fitch & Leedes mixers are crafted in small batches, using quadruple filtered water. These products are “delicately carbonated, finely balanced and infused with the world’s finest flavours.”

My method and verdict

I approached my tasting in a very scientific way: 15 ml gin with 60 ml chilled tonic, starting with the Indian tonic, followed by the pink tonic, and wrapping up with blue tonic.

This one’s a winner. It’s so smooth and pure that finding your favourite G&T combo really comes down to your personal preference. And mine is pink. Turns out I really don’t like the blueberry tonic, which is very unfortunate, since I have 11 cans left. I thought I was getting better at liking blueberry stuff with Grant’s blueberry muffin addiction, but nope. If it’s not hidden in cake, I don’t want it.

This is the gin I’ll suggest you try, if the citrus one doesn’t tickle your fancy, while making sure no one sees what else I have in the gin cupboard, but it is definitely in my top ten.
