Flori Roberts Cosmetics has just been launched, exclusively to Stuttafords stores, in South Africa. For more than 50 years American women have trusted the brand, which “not only sell cosmetics, but beauty”.

I was fortunate enough to attend the launch in Sandton City on 7 October 2014, where makeup artist Butinyana Mofokeng shared some tips on creating a natural look, a stunning night-time look, and chatted about how to create an ombre makeup look, and the less-is-more trend. Flori Roberts South Africa’s brand ambassadors are the beautiful Amo Chidi and Ziyanda Yako.

Flori Roberts was the first cosmetic range aimed specifically at women of colour to be sold in upscale department stores, and offers the finest formulations in skin care and beauty for melanin-rich skin. There’s definitely a gap in the market, when it comes to foundation in particular, for the various South African skin tones, and Flori Roberts CEO Victor Gurajena made a brilliant decision to bring the brand to our shores.
