So Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away, and shops are brimming with hearts and chocolates and all of that (in between the Easter goodies they’ve already got on display).

I’ve kind of made it an mission priority item on the never-ending to-do list to find be open to the possibility of a significant other this year. And while it is unlikely to happen by 14 February, I don’t feel too Grinchy about the day of love, because love is subjective. I love cake, books, pretty shoes (and men).
