Manic Cure is a wonderful little spot hidden in Fourways.
After I was retrenched in November I had to make peace with the idea of not having my unicorn mane. So, I set about finding a place I could get my hair cut at a reasonable price. Instagram did not disappoint when it served me posts by Manic Cure.
Manic Cure for hair
I’ve spent thousands, tens of thousands of rands on my hair over the two-plus years of being a unicorn. I had no intention to spend even R500 for a severe chop. You can only imagine how delighted I was when Manic Cure told me that a ladies’ cut was R350 – regardless of length or style!
Tash did a consult, I showed her what I had in mind (thanks for the inspiration, Halsey) and off I went to the basin where Cynthia and her magical fingers went to work. Drowsy and a little disoriented I slid into the chair in front of the mirror and took a nice big sip from the G&T waiting for me.
Everyone loved the transformation and two months later I was back to have my style refreshed. Manic Cure’s house manager, Unathi, is the biggest fan of my crop.
Manic Cure for the body
Early in December, I felt so stressed out and my back was in such knots that I decided to pop in at Manic Cure for a massage. It is so convenient to chat with the team on Whatsapp and 20 minutes later I was led to the treatment room upstairs. And man, do these ladies know how to put the treat in treatment!
I slithered back downstairs and grabbed a couple of sweets from the counter, hoping the sugar will wake me up a little
A Manic Cure for you
With a comprehensive treatment list including micro-needling, photorejuvenation and laser hair removal, I’m definitely keen to experience their manis, pedis, facials and perhaps a little lash enhancement. Oh, and they NEVER charge for a soak-off.
I cannot recommend this spot enough. Find them just off Witkoppen Road, behind Papa Pronto. Contact them on Whatsapp: 071 214 8344.
