It’s that time of the year again – Award Season! And I’m sure several of my readers indulge in looking at the dresses worn down the red carpet with glee and scorn; I know I do! So Huffington Post has a great round-up of the fashion the girls of glamour wore to the Golden Globe Awards this year.

Red seems to be a very popular colour (Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren was absolutely gorgeous, as was Amy Adams in Valentino), and as always, black was a favourite of many stars too. I loved Melissa McCarthy’s very polished look. Her up-do gave her a bit of extra height, and her dress choice was simple and elegant; she looked stylish and comfortable.

My absolute favourite dress was worn by Cate Blanchett: a black lace Armani Prive mermaid creation. And Cate always gets it right, doesn’t she? Fresh makeup, gorgeous Chopard diamond accessories, and not a singly glossy hair out of place.
