Review: Inside F1: Life Alongside Legends

When you need an F1 fix in the off-season, there’s no shortage of books to dive into. In December, I dropped an Audible credit on this book, read by the author, and very entertaining.

Inside F1: Life Alongside Legends is a must-read book for any Formula One enthusiast. Written by Lee McKenzie, the book provides an insightful and engaging account of her experiences as a broadcaster and journalist in the fast-paced world of F1.

McKenzie takes readers behind the scenes to meet a few of the sport’s legendary drivers. She provides an intimate look at their lives both on and off the track, revealing the challenges and pressures that come with being a part of this high-stakes world.

Inside F1 is a captivating story of human ambition and achievement. McKenzie tells the stories of the greatest drivers in F1 history, from legends Michael Schumacher to Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel to Jenson Button and everyone’s controversial home slice, Fernando Alonso. She shows how these drivers have overcome adversity and pushed themselves to their limits in pursuit of greatness and how their stories have helped shape the sport into what it is today.

But perhaps the greatest strength of Inside F1 is McKenzie’s own voice. As a journalist and broadcaster, she has a wealth of experience and insights that she brings to the book. Her writing is witty, insightful, and always engaging, making the book a joy to read (listen to if you’re being technical) from start to finish. Her writing is always lively and engaging.

Overall, Inside F1: Life Alongside Legends is a must-read for any F1 fan. With its engaging writing, insightful analysis, and behind-the-scenes look at the people who make the sport great, it’s a book that will appeal to both casual and hardcore fans alike. Highly recommended!
