Shower essentials for spring skin

The weather might still be a bit nippy, but it’s officially spring, with summer fast approaching (yay!). On one of the recent warmer days, I ventured outside in a dress and realised that my skin needs some intensive attention if I plan to show it off on a regular basis. After rooting around in my sample drawer for a bit, I found two products guaranteed to leave your skin glowing and happy.

Clarins body scrubL'Occitane almond shower oilGet yourself some Clarins Exfoliating Body Scrub with bamboo powder. You can apply it to dry or damp skin and will soften, smooth, and firm your skin. I used this before stepping into the shower, ensuring I got a good application all over before it’s rinsed away. It has got a great texture that gently exfoliates, and really does leave your skin feeling great.

The other amazing shower product I’ve written about before, but it is so fantastic, I’m happy to rave about it some more. L’Occitane en Provence’s Almond Shower Gel not only transforms your skin, but it also smells delicious.

Sadly my samples only lasted so long, but these products are definitely worth investing in for fabulous skin.

On the upside, I’ve been spurred on to creating my own instant (budget) solution.

I don’t know what to call this. For the time being it’s a “Body Buff Buddy”. It’s a little sachet knitted from 100% cotton twine with a Dove soap bar inside. It fits perfectly in your hand, gently cleanses and exfoliates, you can hang it in your shower (like soap-on-a-rope only chicer), and you can replace the soap when it’s all washed up.

In a super productive spell, I’ve knitted quite a few of these; I think they will make great gifts/party favours. What do you think? Maybe I should knit some more and try and make some pocket money 😉
