Slipper Day helps to make dreams come true

Slipper Day is the simplest and comfiest way you can make a difference in a child’s life. I attended the media launch for the 2018 Slipper Day initiative and got all the feels, in addition to a pair of shark slippers.

For the last 30 years Reach for a Dream has been making the wishes of terminally ill children between the ages of three and 18 come true. Every May, in partnership with Wimpy and Pick n Pay, Reach for a Dream makes it easy for every person to make a small contribution that will have an impact.

How to participate in Slipper Day

Making a difference is so easy. Simply buy a R10 from Wimpy or Pick n Pay and wear the wristband along with your favourite slippers on 11 May 2018. Not only do you help make a child’s dream a reality, you get to walk around in comfort AND you can get a FREE coffee from Wimpy on the day when you show your wristband.

Check out all the pics from the Slipper Day media launch on Reach for a Dream’s social media channels. I’m very jealous of the pair Reach for a Dream ambassador Jonathan Boynton-Lee wore. They have my name written all over them.

I’ve already ordered wristbands for my company. Will you do the same?
