Wella’s Koleston arrives in SA

Wella recently launched a new range of 20 shades in what it calls “its best hair colourant yet: Kolestone Colour Crème”. This range – a first in South Africa – promises rich intense colour for truly beautiful hair thanks to its revolutionary colour technology that results in colour that’s more intense than anything else available on-shelf.

What sets Koleston apart, is its Colour Reactivator; a conditioning treatment that you apply to your hair 15 days and 30 days after colouring, providing longer-lasting intense colour.

The “Colour Hold” conditioning technology, which is the first of its kind, also forms a protective barrier between newly coloured hair and water, ensuring that the intensity of the colour does not rinse away. This technology has been created by Wella’s experts exclusively for Koleston to reduce colour fading by 80% in the first six weeks.

According to Wella, Koleston has been described as the ultimate hair transformation of a woman’s beauty regime.

Katy's palace bar

The launch took place at Katy’s Palace Bar in Johannesburg and had a glamorous Gatsby-theme with feathers, sequins, and dancers. The celebrity face Koleston Colour Crème is Shashi Naidoo. She explained how important fabulous glossy hair colour is to feeling confident and gorgeous.

Dancers

After the formal introduction, guests were treated to scrumptious snacks, and could have their hair and makeup done by the professionals, before having their Gatsby-inspired pic taken in front of a green screen (several background options were provided to put everyone right in the glam action).

Goody bags included beautiful hairpieces by Cloche SA, as well as each guest’s preference of Koleston colour to try out at home – I’ll review this at a later stage; keep an eye out!

Thanks to Nafisa for the pics and the Vine 🙂
